Louis was a little whiny this morning. We had Audrey today, he enjoyed singing songs, he tried to clap his hands with his friends. Then he drew a nice picture with different marker colors. Before lunch he went outside, he pushed two popcorn toys and a shopping cart.

Louis spent time pushing chairs around the room this morning. We pretended we were riding a choo choo train and Louis liked that idea a lot . We also played with animals and imitated the sounds of baby animals.

Louis is a sweet boy. He made a nice picture with a coffee filter and water colors. Then he enjoyed singing songs with his friends and he played with pop corn around the room. Before lunch we read many books.

Louis was so happy with Jaren, he went around the yard with with two pop corn toys. Also he made a nice tower with fisher locks. Before lunch he enjoyed singing songs and looked at pictures on the flannel board.

Louis is a strong boy. He is always a happy boy. When he plays he is always a smiling boy. Louis had a great time putting stickers on a paper plate with his friends. Then he looked at different board stories.

Louis is busy all the time, he likes to go around the room and explore everythimg. Also he played with playdough, he used cutter and hammer, he tried making different shapes. Also he enjoyed playing with eggs and he put the eggs in the basket.

So we want to remodel our smallish 3 bed 1 bath 1951 ranch house, in order to create a master suite with an extra bathroom (hum, at long last, a real tub ), get rid of the current shoddily-built-but-so-useful family room and add a new family room.

As a starting point here is the plan of the house as it is right now, minus the unpermitted addition (since these plans will eventually go to the city's planning department we don't want to open any can of worms we don't absolutely need to ).

So. Where would you put a master suite and family room in there? We can only expand towards the back. There is plenty of space there, but since we bought the house because of its relatively big backyard we want to encroach into it as little as possible. And of course the bigger the more expensive .

More facts: The entrance of the house faces east. The back (full west) is very sunny during the day. The budget will cover adding 800 to 1,000 square feet. At this time we don't plan to touch the kitchen, since it is the single most expensive type of remodel and we can't do both at the same time. But extra points for plans that will let us/the next owner open it up. More points for ideas that impact the existing structure as little as possible, since we plan/hope to remain in the house during construction and need two bedrooms, the bathroom and the kitchen to remain usable. We originally thought that we couldn't have more than three bedrooms but that is finally not the case. So we are truly looking at adding a master suite, not remodeling the third bedroom into part of one.

Louis had a great time looking at the puppet show with Sarah and Toddler 1 this morning. Also he played outside around the yard, he likes to push shopping carts and he went to the sandbox.

Louis was crying a little this morning. He enjoyed playing with playdough, he made different shapes with playdough shapes.
Also he played in the small room for a long time. Before lunch he made a big tower with help.

Louis is a cute boy. He loves to give his teachers a hug. Every morning when he comes he holds his teachers for more than a minute.

He enjoyed going on a wagon ride with his friends. We had Ms. Audrey today, he liked singing songs. Before lunch he played with cornmeal, he dug and dumped.
